Rapid Response Fund supports churches in Malawi and Mozambique

In Southern Africa, Storm Ana has led to over 80 deaths and left hundreds of people with injuries.

USPG is contributing a total of £5,000 from our Rapid Response Fund to the Anglican Church in Malawi and the Anglican Church of Mozambique and Angola’s storm recovery efforts.

Our partner churches in the region are working to provide shelter so that affected families can begin to recover from the destruction of Storm Ana. USPG’s support means they can supply basic items like bedding, tents and food parcels to people who have lost their homes.

Fran Mate, USPG’s Regional Manager for Africa, said, ‘We hold the people of Malawi and Mozambique in our hearts as they respond to the devastation caused by Storm Ana. Keep our brothers and sisters in our partner churches in your prayers as they begin to rebuild their lives.’

Donate to USPG’s Rapid Response Fund to help us support our partner churches in difficult times.
