The first missionaries from the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts (SPG) to be sent to the Caribbean arrived in the Windward Islands in 1712. SPG missionaries arrived in the Bahamas in 1733.
Today, USPG has a long and cherished relationship with the Church in the Province of the West Indies, which covers Barbados, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, the Bahamas, the North-Eastern Caribbean and Aruba, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands. USPG also cherishes its long relationship with the Igreja Anglicana do Brasil and with churches in Argentina, Peru and Chile.
