USPG General Secretary Joins Call for People’s Vaccine

First published on: 27th April 2021

USPG General Secretary Duncan Dormor has joined other religious leaders from across the world in signing a statement expressing the need for a People’s Vaccine. The statement calls for a more equitable distribution of available vaccines and the increased production of vaccines on a global scale.

At the current rate of vaccine distribution, many people across the world will have to wait until 2024 to be vaccinated. In light of this, religious leaders are calling for global solidarity and the taking of practical steps to ensure that people all over the world can be protected from Covid-19. Signatories of the statement include representatives from Christian, Jewish and Muslim groups from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
