The richness of diversity and history in the churches and theological institutions across Asia and the Middle East leads to interesting and unique partnerships and programmes in the region.
HIGHLIGHTS
Asia Theological Accompaniment Programme (ATAP)
USPG facilitate the ATAP, bringing together Deans and Principals of Theological Institutions in Asia to exchange expertise and experience in order to strengthen institutional capacity, resilience and increases collaboration and resource-sharing.
Youth Leadership Training
In partnership with the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East, USPG journeys alongside a group of young people from different and complex contexts equipping them for mission and ministry in the region.
Anti-Human Trafficking
USPG partners with the Church of North India and the Church of Bangladesh on anti-human trafficking efforts. As the border is a hotspot for trafficking of predominantly women and girls, programmes are focussed on both prevention and awareness.
USPG IN ASIA
Today, USPG has long and cherished relationships with churches across Asia dating back to 1820 when missionaries were first sent to India. We are also in partnership with the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East which covers a varied part of the Anglican Communion. We partner with churches in this region as they seek to be agents of transformative change in their communities and beyond.
