Meet the New Trustees
USPG have announced this morning that it has welcomed three new members to join their Board of Trustees – The Revd Kenson Li, Assistant Curate at Manchester Cathedral, The Revd Cathrine Ngangira, Priest-In-Charge of Boughton under Blean with Dunkirk, Hernhill and Graveney with Goodnestone in Canterbury Diocese, and The Revd David Chislett, who will be licensed as Vicar of Wargrave with Knowl Hill later this year.
The news follows the completion of the ‘We Believe, We Belong?’ USPG Conference which saw Bishops and Archbishops from across the Anglican Communion come together to rethink mission, energise church, and champion justice. Speakers included The Rt Revd Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, Primate of the Church of the Province of West Africa, The Rt Revd Philip Wright, Acting Primate of the Church in the Province of the West Indies and Bishop of Belize, and The Rt Revd Danald Jute, Bishop of Kuching and Chairman of the Anglican Interfaith Commission.
The Rt Revd Dr David Walker, Bishop of Manchester and Chair of the Board of Trustees at USPG, said: “The new additions bring a range of experience and backgrounds to the Board including finance, theology, music, and vocational mission. The increased expertise will strengthen the team even further and help us in our mission to partner with churches and communities worldwide in God’s mission to enliven faith, strengthen relationships, unlock potential and champion justice.”
The Revd Kenson Li

Kenson is the assistant curate of Manchester Cathedral. Originally from Hong Kong, Kenson studied Music at the University of Manchester. After graduating, he spent three years as parish assistant in South Manchester. He is currently a member of the Vocations and Ministry working group in the Living in Love and Faith Programme. He is an avid traveller and loves learning languages. |
The Revd Cathrine Ngangira

The Revd Cathrine Ngangira is the Priest-in-Charge of the parishes around Boughton-under-Blean, Hernhill, and Graveney in Kent. She grew up in Zimbabwe, where she was actively involved in youth ministry. Her connection with USPG began while she was studying Theology in Durham. She was a speaker at the 2019 Re-Imagining Conference. Outside of meetings, she enjoys navigating the unique joys and challenges of rural ministry. |
The Revd David Chislett

The Revd David Chislett is a qualified accountant with over 25 years’ experience as Chief Financial Officer in both private and public technology businesses. He has served as a trustee for several organisations and, during a period of transition, led Tearfund’s Finance and IT team. David holds a master’s degree in Christian leadership from St Mellitus College and completed his ordination training at Ripon College Cuddesdon in 2021. Following a curacy, David will be licensed this year as Vicar of Wargrave with Knowl Hill. |
