India Covid-19 Response Appeal
A devastating second wave of Covid-19 is overwhelming India. Infections are spiralling out of control and the country’s health system is unable to cope. With hospitals overrun and oxygen in short supply, thousands of people are unable to receive life-saving treatment.
We urgently need your help. Your donation will allow our Church partners to react swiftly to the crisis unfolding in India.
India has seen more cases of Coronavirus in the last seven days than any other country. People are dying whilst waiting for hospital beds and oxygen. Donate now to USPG’s Covid-19 Appeal and help us to save lives.
£20 could buy a fingertip oximeter to check blood oxygen levels
£100 could buy a life-saving oxygen cylinder
£250 could buy 50 full PPE kits for health care workers
£400 could buy vital medicine to reduce the number of patients in critical care beds
Our emergency appeal means our Church partners can be on the ground providing immediate care and support to the most vulnerable.
How we are responding to the Covid-19 crisis in India
USPG through our Church partners in India are responding to the Covid-19 emergency by;
- Providing hospitals with medical supplies, such as oxygen delivery systems, monitoring systems and medicine
- Raising awareness of ways to slow the spread of the virus such as social distancing, monitoring in-home quarantine and highlighting Covid-19 symptoms
- Providing personal protection and testing equipment
- Ensuring community participation in combatting the pandemic through local level outreach
With your help we can do more to fight this destructive second wave and save more lives.
