Britain & Ireland
Main languages spoken: English, Welsh, Gaelic
With USPG’s head office based in the London, we have been centred from Britian & Ireland for our entire 300 year+ history.
There is much to learn and be inspired about from the four national Churches of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. Our church engagement is a key way to make the vibrancy of the global Church available to the churches of Britain & Ireland, and to assist them to articulate their discipleship and mission as members of a worldwide Communion. We also support several programmes and networks based from the UK.
Theology
The annual one-day conference, ’Rethinking Mission’, which brings together ordinands, new clergy and lay ministers from across the Anglican Communion to listen and be better equipped to confront some of the most difficult challenges of our time. Past examples include: ‘Remembering History’, ‘Rediscovering the Gospel in ‘Christian’ nations’, ‘Keeping Faith in Science?’.
Racial Justice
We work with the Anglican Minority Ethnic Network and the Triangle of Hope to promote racial justice, focusing on institutional inequality, inclusive leadership, and reconciliation. Through these partnerships, we address historical injustices and strive for lasting transformation within the Church and broader community
Climate Justice
In a time of climate crisis, we know how powerful a good resource can be to mobilise action and offer space for lament and hope. Preaching for God’s World provides weekly reflections, linked to the lectionary, from activists, theologians, and church leaders worldwide, all from the perspective of creation care and ecological justice.

Church Engagement
USPG offers speakers to churches and communities to inspire interest in global mission across the UK. We engage with diocesan events, conferences and synods, and as well with national events such as the Big Church Festival and Greenbelt.
