REGIONAL MANAGERS

REBECCA BOARDMAN is Regional Manager for Oceania and East Asia, and joined USPG in 2016. Prior to this she worked as Refugee Response Facilitator for the Anglican Church in Greece (Diocese in Europe), coordinating an ecumenical group of agencies responding to the needs of displaced peoples across Greece and coordinating the combined ‘Rapid Response’ of the Diocese in Europe and USPG. She also spent a year volunteering with the community development arm of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines (E-CARE) through USPG’s Journey with Us scheme. Rebecca read Geography at Girton College, Cambridge for her undergraduate degree.

FRAN MATE is Regional Manager for Africa. Fran joined USPG in 2012; prior to this, she served in senior management in various capacities with international and national charities. She also taught for a year at a high school in Africa and as a part time Teaching Assistant in Child Poverty and Development at the London School of Economics. She has served on Advisory/Directors Boards of church institutions, parastatals and non-profit organisations in Africa, including chairing Board sub-committees. Fran has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Geography and Christian studies, specialising in governance, management and social protection. She also has two Master’s degrees: one in Poverty Reduction/planning and Management from the University of Birmingham, and another in Social Policy Research from the London School of Economics.

 

HABIB NADER is Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean. Habib joined USPG in 1998; prior to this, he had a 26-year career in international trading and training. He has been responsible for all USPG ‘people programmes’ or mission personnel programmes, including mission companions, Journey With Us (formerly known as the Experience Exchange Programme or EEP), Exchanging Places and Expanding Horizons. Habib is administrator for the Festina Revolving Loan Scheme and a lay minister in the Methodist Church.

Habib Nader

DAVIDSON SOLANKI is Regional Manager for Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining USPG in 2014, Davidson worked for World Vision India and Tearfund. He has worked extensively in Asia and Africa, in global cross-cultural mission, at grassroots, national and international levels, often in diverse and highly complex environments. Davidson studied in India, the USA and the UK and has a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a BA in Sociology, a Certificate in Conflict Resolution and an MA in Peace and Reconciliation. He is currently studying for a BA in Theology, Ministry and Mission at St Mellitus College and will be ordained in July 2020.
