Acolhida pela Diocese Anglicana do Botsuana, arcebispos, bispos, diretores e decanos de institui\u00e7\u00f5es teol\u00f3gicas reuniram-se em Gaborone para esta auspiciosa cimeira organizada pela USPG. O seu mandato era ambicioso: <em>Construir uma Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Teol\u00f3gica Forte e Sustent\u00e1vel<\/em>. De<sup>8 a<\/sup> 11<sup>de novembro,<\/sup> apoiados por representantes da Comunh\u00e3o Anglicana mais ampla, os participantes lutaram com os desafios espec\u00edficos da \u00c1frica e as oportunidades decorrentes deles.   <\/p>\n<p>As discuss\u00f5es foram animadas, amplas e abrangentes, indo desde a complexidade da heran\u00e7a do cristianismo mission\u00e1rio e a necessidade de descolonizar o curr\u00edculo at\u00e9 as considera\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00e1ticas e financeiras da constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um modelo sustent\u00e1vel de educa\u00e7\u00e3o teol\u00f3gica enraizado na africaniza\u00e7\u00e3o do cristianismo. Foram deliberados o aparelhamento do clero, o desenvolvimento de educadores teol\u00f3gicos, o aumento do papel das mulheres e dos jovens, o e-learning e as plataformas digitais, o desenvolvimento e revis\u00e3o curriculares e a acredita\u00e7\u00e3o universit\u00e1ria; conversas que n\u00e3o s\u00f3 proporcionaram um f\u00f3rum para revis\u00e3o, mas tamb\u00e9m o impulso para a mudan\u00e7a. Eles &#8220;nos energizaram para explorar com coragem e convic\u00e7\u00e3o novas formas de participa\u00e7\u00e3o na miss\u00e3o de Deus atrav\u00e9s do minist\u00e9rio da educa\u00e7\u00e3o teol\u00f3gica&#8221;, disse o Reverend\u00edssimo Albert Chama, Primaz da Prov\u00edncia anfitri\u00e3.  <\/p>\n<p>Para garantir um impulso cont\u00ednuo, um comunicado surgiu da c\u00fapula destacando a responsabilidade cont\u00ednua das igrejas e seus l\u00edderes de levar as coisas adiante: <strong>reconhecer <\/strong>que construir uma educa\u00e7\u00e3o teol\u00f3gica sustent\u00e1vel \u00e9 uma quest\u00e3o de administra\u00e7\u00e3o crist\u00e3, <strong>reimaginar<\/strong> os modelos e institui\u00e7\u00f5es existentes de educa\u00e7\u00e3o teol\u00f3gica para enfrentar os desafios de um mundo em mudan\u00e7a; e <strong>reassumir o compromisso <\/strong>de desenvolver uma compreens\u00e3o compartilhada e identificar uma trajet\u00f3ria para apoiar a educa\u00e7\u00e3o teol\u00f3gica em seus contextos locais. Tr\u00eas Rs \u2013 <strong>Reconhecimento<\/strong>, <strong>Reimagina\u00e7\u00e3o <\/strong>e <strong>Recompromisso <\/strong>\u2013 que t\u00eam uma relev\u00e2ncia muito para al\u00e9m das fronteiras de \u00c1frica. <\/p>\n<p>Falando deste momento divisor de \u00e1guas, o Rev. Dr. Duncan Dormor, Secret\u00e1rio Geral da USPG, disse: &#8220;A Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Teol\u00f3gica forte e sustent\u00e1vel \u00e9 a for\u00e7a vital de uma Igreja saud\u00e1vel e em crescimento. Foi um privil\u00e9gio, em nome da USPG, testemunhar a pura energia, criatividade e profundo compromisso de trabalhar juntos na constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Teol\u00f3gica sustent\u00e1vel ao servi\u00e7o da Igreja e da sua miss\u00e3o em toda a \u00c1frica.
