The Day will provide a Christians all over the world an opportunity to unite in prayer. It will focus on individual provinces and extra-provinces of the Anglican Communion, and churches in relationship with the Communion, in 30-minute slots. Provinces from all over the world have been producing short prayer films for the event with authentic local expressions of prayer, worship, readings and reflection. These will be played in those time slots.

The online event will run for 24 hours starting at midnight UTC (GMT) on Monday 29/Tuesday 30 November. To find out what time that is in your part of the world, use this link: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20211130T000000&p1=1440

The co-ordinating team at USPG is putting the finishing touches to the plan but here is a quick response to some FAQs:

How can I join in?

The event is open to everyone. There is no need to register. You can get involved via zoom or Facebook. When you want to join just click on one of these links:

What time should I join?

You can join at any time that suits you, stay for as long as you like and come back as many times as you want. You can join the slot allocated to your province or choose to pray with other parts of the world...or both.

What time is the prayer for my country?

The schedule allocating prayer times to individual provinces is still being completed. We are working to make sure everyone gets the chance to pray for their province at a reasonable time of the day. We will publish the schedule very soon. And there will also be a guide so that everyone can easily see the equivalent time in their part of the world.

Should I pray alone or with other people?

It’s up to you. You can choose to watch at home, at work – wherever works for you. And you can decide to pray alone or organise a Prayer Watch Party and invite friends or a church group to join you. Praying with others can be a particularly powerful collective experience. Whatever you decide, you will be contributing to a global wave of prayer. And we hope you will feel inspired and united to the global church.

If you would like to share details with friends and family, you can download our printable poster here.
