Trwy gydol fy ngweinidogaeth, rwyf wedi ymrwymo i’r syniad o Wythnos Weddi dros Undod Cristnogol. Nid yw bob amser wedi bod yn hawdd cyflawni’r bwriad hwnnw yn y dyddiau a’r nosweithiau hynod oer yng nghanol mis Ionawr. Efallai y bydd ychydig o ddiehards o’r gr\u0175p Eglwysi Gyda’i Gilydd yn ymddangos ar gyfer gwedd\u00efau dyddiol. Gwaith y diafol ei hun bron oedd argyhoeddi’r ffyddloniaid i droi allan ar gyfer y gwasanaeth ar y cyd ar y nos Sul. Ond yn aml fe wnaethant, yna roedd teimladau a chyfeillgarwch cynnes yn elwa o wedd\u00efo gyda’n gilydd a cheisio gwireddu ein gobeithion am undod dyfnach. Mae fy mhrofiad i o’r wythnos reolaidd hon o flwyddyn yr Eglwys wedi cael ei drawsnewid trwy fyw yn Jerwsalem, sy’n gartref i bron pob enwad Cristnogol sy’n hysbys i Dduw. Mae’n digwydd wythnos yn ddiweddarach nag yn y DU oherwydd bod Nadolig Armenia ar Ionawr 19 felly, mae’n rhaid i’r Wythnos ddilyn yr \u0175yl ond pan fydd yn dechrau mae’n troi yn un o uchafbwyntiau’r flwyddyn. Rwy’n gwybod ei bod hi’n anodd cofio, ond mae’n wir. Mae’r lliw, amrywiaeth a dwyster litwrgaidd mor ddeniadol fel ei fod yn brofiad cyfoethog i unrhyw un sy’n freintiedig o allu rhannu ynddo. Bob nos, mae gwasanaeth yn cael ei gynnal gan un o’r prif enwadau ac yna’r rhai llai yn cylchdroi flwyddyn ar \u00f4l blwyddyn. Mae’r noson gyntaf o wedd\u00efo gyda’n gilydd bob amser yn cael ei chynnal gan yr Uniongred Groeg yn Eglwys y Beddrod Sanctaidd. Rydym yn profi gwasanaeth y llongau, yn cael eu siarad a’u canu mewn Groeg. Mae harddwch y capel yn codi’r enaid ac yn tynnu addolwyr i undod dirgel y Drindod. Eleni, dilynodd gwasanaethau yn fy Eglwys Anglicanaidd fy hun – Eglwys Gadeiriol Sant Si\u00f4r y Martyr – Eglwys Gadeiriol Armenaidd Sant Iago Fawr, Eglwys Lutheraidd y Gwaredwr, Eglwys Ladin (RC) St Saviour’s, y Cenacle (neu’r Ystafell Uchaf) gyda’r Dominicaid, Eglwys Uniongred Syria Sant Marc ac yn olaf, Eglwys Gadeiriol Melkite y Cyfarchiad. Hyd yn oed dim ond y rhestr o westeion yn cyfleu cyfoeth y profiad. Y realiti o addoli gyda’i gilydd mewn eglwysi eithriadol o hardd a hynafol a rhannu yn eu haddoliad anghyfarwydd ond teimladwy iawn. Bob nos roedd yr eglwys bron yn llawn, gyda hyd at 200 o bobl yn bresennol. Mae’r profiad cyfan yn dyfnhau gan y lletygarwch a gynigir yn dilyn y gwasanaethau. Rhoddodd gyfle i mi siarad \u00e2 chlerigwyr Coptaidd, lleianod Catholig o’r Congo a Sudan a gwirfoddolwyr ifanc o’r Almaen. Roedd y teimlad yn gynnes ac yn gyfeillgar yn gyffredinol. Gwedd\u00efodd Iesu am undod y credinwyr, ‘er mwyn iddynt fod yn un’, yn Jerwsalem, yn yr Ystafell Uchaf, felly dylem ni, Cristnogion Jerwsalem, fod yn ceisio ymgorffori’r undod hwnnw. Ond rydyn ni wedi methu yn y gorffennol ac rydyn ni’n parhau i fethu \u00e2 chyflawni’r weddi hon am Grist. Mae’r Wythnos Weddi yn cynnig gweledigaeth o’r hyn y gallem fod. Wrth gwrs, nid yw gwedd\u00efo gyda’n gilydd am wythnos yn ddigonol, ond mae’n lle da i ddechrau. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
