Ar 24 Chwefror 2022, dechreuodd goresgyniad Rwsia ar Wcr\u00e1in. Ddwy flynedd yn ddiweddarach, mae pobl yr Wcrain yn parhau i fod angen ein gwedd\u00efau a’n cefnogaeth. Mae’r ap\u00eal a sefydlwyd gan yr Esgobaeth yn Ewrop a USPG yn parhau i ariannu prosiectau sy’n gweithio gyda sefydliadau Cristnogol ar lawr gwlad i ddarparu cefnogaeth i ffoaduriaid lle mae ei angen fwyaf. <\/p>\n

Wrth i ben-blwydd goresgyniad yr Wcrain agos\u00e1u, rydym yn parhau i ofyn am eich gwedd\u00efau a’ch cefnogaeth. Mae cymuned Anglicanaidd fechan Eglwys Crist Kyiv yn cyfarfod ac yn gwedd\u00efo gyda’i gilydd, ac maent yn gofyn am ein gwedd\u00efau. Christina Laschenko, Warden Eglwys Crist Kyiv yn gofyn i ni wedd\u00efo dros heddwch: “Rydym yn gwedd\u00efo dros y rhai sydd wedi ffoi o’u cartrefi, a thros y rhai nad ydynt yn gallu gadael eu cartrefi. Gwedd\u00efwn dros y rhai na allant adael y dinasoedd sydd wedi dod yn safleoedd brwydrau. Gwedd\u00efwn dros lawer sy’n ofnus ac nad ydynt yn gwybod beth sydd gan y dyfodol <\/em>. Reflecting on the last two years she shares: The experiences of these two years allowed me to live out St. Paul\u2019s instruction: \u2018Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God\u2019s will for you in Christ Jesus’”.<\/em> Bishop Robert Innes, Bishop of Europe said: \u201cThe outcome of the Ukraine war is of profound importance to the future of our European continent. The Ukrainian people are paying the price of this war in blood, tears and trauma. For them, it is an existential struggle. So I urge everyone to continue to support Ukrainians, whether in Ukraine or in other host countries, by whatever means they can.\u201d<\/em> The Rev’d Duncan Dormor, General Secretary USPG said: \u201cTwo years on from the shock and brutality that marked the beginning of conflict, we continue to witness the devastation and upheaval it has brought to the people of Ukraine. It remains as important as ever that we stand in solidarity with the people of providing prayerful support alongside financial contributions to support projects that bring hope to war-torn communities. We must continue to walk alongside Ukrainians and show that they are not alone as we pray for a just peace and an end to this conflict.\u201d<\/em> The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby recently visited Kyiv, and commented on the stories he heard: <\/p>\n

“Er bod llawer yn edrych yr un fath \u00e2 phan ymwelais ddiwethaf ychydig dros flwyddyn yn \u00f4l, mae rhai newidiadau sylweddol iawn wedi bod. Un peth y mae pobl wedi siarad amdano ym mhobman yr aethom yw’r doll y mae’r rhyfel hwn yn dechrau ei gymryd ar bobl Wcr\u00e1in mewn PTSD a chyflyrau iechyd meddwl eraill. Dim ond dechrau deall y raddfa debygol ohoni rydyn ni – a pha mor hirhoedlog y gallai’r effeithiau fod. Er ei bod yn hyfryd gweld pobl ym Mhrydain yn ral\u00efo gyda chefnogaeth a lletygarwch i Ukrainians yng ngham cyntaf y rhyfel hwn, rhaid i ni gydnabod nawr bod angen i ni fod yn hyn ar gyfer y daith hir, dyna un o’r negeseuon y byddaf yn eu cymryd i ffwrdd gyda mi. Mae’r patrwm cyfan o fywyd a chefnogaeth yn newid o argyfwng ar unwaith i gymorth hirdymor.”<\/em><\/p>\n
